Ban Loong Boutique Hotel

The room is on the second floor without a lift. Is not suitable for elderly. Aircon is noisy during the whole night. The sound proof is bad, I can hear the sound from the next room. The roof at the toilet is leaking when raining, the dirty water drops from the roof when sitting on the toilet bowl. I feel frustrated when I stay here.

Hotel was very quiet and cosy. Location is close to famous Nam Heong Kopitiam and Concubine Lane.

Could not get the TV to work. No room safe.

The location is ideal for anyone exploring Ipoh. There aren't many hotels in the Old Town and Ban Loong is in easy walking distance of all the pretty streets and alleyways. It's an old building which has been superbly renovated. The rooms are functional and vary greatly in size. But for 1-2 nights that's fine. Friendly staff, no.problem to deposit luggage etc.

A few things aren’t not functioning well. Tap leaking in bathroom. Powerpoint is higher than the kettle lead to use. a bit of care of love will help.

Really cute antique boutique hotel and all the attractions are within walking distance.

The sink tap and toilet seat could be better.

Location is convenient to walk to all the old town attractions. We got the front Deluxe room. Very nice with attached bath, however there are street noises but it’s ok as it’s not a busy road. The private car park is really an added value as getting a car park is difficult in Ipoh. The room is well lit.

The toiletries could be better. The toilet seat is too small for the bowl, should get a suitable size. There is no suitable lounge area for relaxing and to enjoy the heritage building.

I like old heritage building. Luckly i got My own bathroom when i book the hotel. I am So happy.

Sharing bathroom might not convinent to some people but i am ok.

Beautifully restored boutique hotel in excellent location for both the train station (10 min walk) and right in middle of the old town.

We really enjoyed our stay in this quaint old building with a lot of history. Good location, with shops and restaurants nearby.We stayed in room 10 that had lovely big windows which let in an abundance of light. The room was minimalistically decorated but suited the room which has old brick walls.Very friendly staff, complimentary refills of water in a very nicely decorated lounge.Highly recommend this place.

it easy to find a hawker stall or restaurant for breakfast, 50-60 meters from hotel. a lot of choices for breakfast. I prefer eating breakfast at Nam Heong restaurant, delicious coffee ??????

Great location. Interesting building with amazing heritage.

Shower temp was unable to be adjusted, bathroom seemed half renovated, room not cleaned or refreshed during our stay. Not exactly a ‘boutique hotel’ but maybe it will grow into the name.

The room is spacious. They provided free parking for their guests (but I think it is limited). The room is clean and the common area is well decorated.The location is near to Concubine lane & ipoh park. Walking distance to the Ipoh train station too.

I think it is just Ipoh in general, but the place can get a little too quiet at night.

The location and the interior

Maybe for others, the water pipes might be disturbing especially during night time. A bit dusty on some surfaces.

Close to all food and attractions. Room is beautifully decorated. Reliable WiFi access. Host are very surpurb. Let us to leave lugguges before check in. Will stay again when next to Ipoh again

Loved the location of the property as well as the history of the building; the hotel has a story behind it which they are not capitalizing on.

The lack of additional touches in the room such as an extra side table or shelf unit, artwork to accentuate the walls. The TV was impossible to work which was frustrating.

Excellent, helpful staff: Went out of their way to accommodate odd arriving and leaving times.

We were surprised bathroom facilities were shared - they were fine, just hadn't expected it. No problem, we will use this hotel again.
